CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
We are pleased to announce that PAICTA is hosting a three (3) day cybersecurity conference happening virtually. The Conference will run under the theme, “Securing the Future: Harnessing Emerging Technologies for Cybersecurity in Development”. The Cybersecurity4D conference aims to offer academics, industry stakeholders and experts a platform to network and forge collaborative pathways to align academic research with practical, commercial applications in cybersecurity. Additionally, there will be focused cybersecurity training for youth and SMMEs during the initial two days of the conference, along with industry exhibitions.
The hybrid conference will be a hive of activities such as paper presentations, keynote speeches, panel discussions, industry exhibitions, interactive workshops, and technology demonstrations. This conference is open for Work in progress research and planned cybersecurity initiatives by researchers. The conference will explore the latest trends in cybersecurity and how emerging technologies can be used to secure development initiatives across Africa.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite submissions on topics aligned with the theme, highlighting how emerging technologies can contribute to secure and sustainable development.
Submissions may focus on the following areas but are not limited to, THE following areas:

- Emerging Technologies in Cybersecurity
- Capacity Building, Awareness and Skills Enhancement
- Policy and Regulatory Frameworks in Cybersecurity
- Public-Private Partnerships
- Innovations in Cybersecurity Technologies by OEM and SMMEs
- Data Protection and Privacy in Development
- Cybersecurity in Key Sectors like Health and Education

Please note: This list is not exhaustive. We encourage submissions that explore other relevant aspects of the theme, addressing cybersecurity challenges and harnessing emerging technologies for a secure and sustainable future in Africa.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The submissions are written in English. Submission may not have been published before or may not be under review for any other conference or publication.
Submissions must be done via the website –https://paicta.co/call-for-papers/ Please follow the link to submit your paper:
PAICTA Security4D conference submissions are peer-reviewed.
Therefore, submissions must be free of the author’s names, affiliations, or obvious references to enable blind peer review.
Each submission must contain an abstract summarising the paper’s contribution and a list of keywords.
Ensure all figures, tables and formulas are correctly cited and labelled.
AUTHORS GUIDELINES
Paper submissions are required to comply with the designated format and template. It is recommended to download the submission template in MS Word. You can access the template via the following link
REVIEW AND NOTIFICATIONS
All submissions close on Monday, 30 June 2024. Submissions will only be accepted after the deadline has passed if the organising committee makes a provision to extend the deadline. In the event of extenuating circumstances, an extended deadline will be published on the conference website. Authors should expect notification for acceptance/rejection from Monday, 15 July 2024. Camera-ready submissions are due on Friday, 30 August 2024.
PRESENTING AND CONFERENCE
Authors must present the accepted papers live or virtually at the Cybersecurity4D conference. The Conference submissions will be published in the conference proceedings.
